Facing the shortage of skilled installers in the sanitary industry, it is more important than ever to offer an attractive training program that helps young, upcoming installers build the foundation for a prosperous future. This is why GROHE initiated its “GROHE Installer Vocational Training and Education” (GIVE) Program. To help improve training facilities, GROHE will set up a fully functioning training environment where students can benefit from the brand’s vast expertise.

GIVE supports schools in creating a uniformed approach with modern equipment, training material and a written examination that will set new industry standards. Even after students have completed their GROHE training, they will receive assistance – with a work experience program at one of GROHE’s industry partners or even with job placements.

MORE THAN 50 INSTITUTIONS OFFERING PLUMBING TRAININGS ACROSS EMENA. 15 ADDITIONAL TRAINING FACILITIES WILL BE OPENED IN UPCOMING MONTHS:

In addition to the cooperation with the already existing educational institutions, GIVE will start 15 additional cooperations with schools in the coming months. The goal is to engage with more than 5000 students across the EMENA region.

The GIVE program - Brand New Openings

BELGIUM

Hoboken is a district of the city of Antwerp. In this multicultural city, the Don Bosco school teaches about 1,300 students, some of whom are being trained as future sanitary installers. As they wanted to renovate the sanitary part of their training room and because they had a positive experience with GROHE in the past, they once again contacted the trainers. Early 2020 the first conversations took place and after a few meetings, we reached an agreement to start the GIVE program in this school.

In March 2021, the 3 assembled racks with accessories were delivered in Hoboken, we could not always be present but the result is no less, all 8 enthusiastic teachers and students have brought everything to a good end, in one word craftsmanship. On June 24, the official opening took place, due to COVID-19 only limited attendance was possible. Nevertheless, this was the starting shot for GIVE program in the Don Bosco School for the school year 2021-2022. Meanwhile we have conducted the first training, we look forward to optimizing inorder to prepare the next installers.

FRANCE

With its 120 promising students and its team of teachers with a solid 30-year-experience, Ermont Plumbing School is one of the biggest educational centers for future installers in the Parisian region. This school provides an exceptional learning environment for installers-to-be, along with a regular follow-up and support to the students after their graduation. On entering the school, students from several horizons are prepared with the highest level of expectations to become mere professionals who will promote GROHE products on the field. Quality work, integrity and perfectionism are key values that brought GROHE and Ermont Plumbing School together. During the past few years, they have developed a strong-tie relationship. GROHE is proud to have officialized this years-long alliance with the school on October 19th, 2021.

This milestone marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the two entities and sets an example for future partnerships with plumbing schools across France.
