GROHE Products, SCIP data base, SCIP numbers

From the 5th of January 2021 on, companies supplying articles containing substances of very high concern (SVHCs) on the REACH Candidate List in a concentration above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w) on the EU market must submit information on these articles to ECHA.

SCIP data base

SCIP is the EU database for information on Substances of Concern In Products (articles) as such or in complex objects established under the EU Waste Framework Directive (WFD). The SCIP database ensures that the information on articles containing Candidate List substances is available throughout the whole lifecycle of products and materials, including at the waste stage. The information in the database is made available to waste operators and consumers.

For more information please visit the website of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, Finland, and search for “SCIP": https://echa.europa.eu/de/home

GROHE

GROHE provided the necessary data to ECHA respectively into the SCIP database in time.

Please see the linked attachment below this information for the SCIP numbers of the GROHE product portfolio and per GROHE legal entity in the EU.

Quasi-identical articles and complex objects (products) can be grouped in the same SCIP notification. GROHE applied this approach due to the similarity of many GROHE articles/products.

GROHE customers can use these SCIP numbers to prepare "Simplified SCIP Notifications (SSN)" respectively use "Referencing" for own SCIP notifications.
