Our GROHE apprentices proved that they are among the smartest in Germany. On May 10th and May 11th our GROHE apprentices Izabela Prominska, Julia Angermayr, Carsten Bumen, Dennis Sagolla and Timo Kindsvater participated at the renowned industry simulation game “Playbizz” and prevailed against the best teams in Baden-Württemberg. After three competition levels they reached the second place!

Playbizz is a Germany-wide business simulation game competition for apprentices and offers the opportunity to lead a company playfully as a "manager" while dealing with the basics of business administration. As in a "real" company the participants deal with all operational functional areas of a company and have to make decisions in areas of procurement, production and sales as well as personnel and finance. The aim of this economic simulation is to generate the highest possible profit in order to be better than any competing teams from other companies.

In each of four game rounds, one financial year was simulated. Each team took over a company that produces electric scooters and generates a profit of € 294,000. In the first round, a corporate concept for the domestic market was to be created, in the further rounds the electric scooters at home and abroad should be marketed. Our Lahr apprentices team has generated a profit of € 10.7 million within four financial years and placed second among 24 teams from Baden-Württemberg!

This is an excellent performance. We are proud of our measurements and congratulate our GROHE apprentices on this great achievement.
