Energy efficiency labels

The new version (EU) 2019/2020 of the Ecodesign Directive and the delegated regulation (EU) 219/2015, to label the energy consumption of light sources, will come into force on September 1, 2021.

As of September 1st, the energy labels will also change.

After the cut-off date, it will in some cases no longer be possible to find the light sources with the best energy efficiency of class A ++ to date. All of these products are downgraded to classes D to F. The classes above remain free for the time being.

However, there is a transition period: for 18 months it will be possible to find both label variants in stores when shopping.

This change has become necessary for many products that are required to be labeled with the EU energy label. Because the further developments in the devices could no longer be represented clearly enough.

This GROHE product does not fall within the scope of EU regulation 874/2012/EU (until August 31, 2021) nor of regulations 2019/2020/EU for the definition of ecodesign requirements for light sources (lamps and lights with built-in light source) and separate control gear as well as the delegated regulation 2019/2015/EU (from 01.09.2021) on the energy consumption labeling of light sources.

This also eliminates the need to issue an energy efficiency label.
