● Insurers’ biggest losses in the area of property insurance are water damage claims, totalling more than even fire and storm claims.
● GROHE Sense, the brand’s connected water security system, enables new and scalable business models for insurance companies.
● At the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, leading insurance industry partners of GROHE shared their insights implementing the GROHE Sense solution.
Düsseldorf, Germany, 18. April 2019. At the ISH in Frankfurt, Germany, the largest trade fair for water technologies, GROHE, a leading global brand for complete bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings and a leading European provider of water security systems, hosted its first insurance seminar on how to pro-actively reduce and eliminate water damage claims. Around 50 representatives of insurers across Europe followed the fascinating lectures of GROHE partners such as Deloitte, relayr, HSB – Munich Re, Alm. Brand and LähiTapiola.
Together the speakers shared their insights on existing and upcoming solutions, technologies and business models that have one common goal: to reduce the cost of water damage and increase insurance customer satisfaction. The key element of all speeches was GROHE’s connected water security solution GROHE Sense and GROHE Sense Guard, that helps to reduce and even eliminate water damage.
The unique seminar is offered at a time where insurers all over Europe have entered or are on the brink of digital transition resulting in process change, new ways of communication, automated claims handling and proactive damage reduction and elimination. The biggest pain point of insurers in the area of property insurance are water damage claims. With GROHE Sense and Sense Guard, the first generation of solutions is well under way to deliver step change. With GROHE Sense Guard Pro, the first generation for multi-family houses will follow from summer 2020, which can be installed in both cold and hot water pipes and which can reduce water damage in 90 percent of the real estate market.
“The feedback from our first insurance seminar against water damage has been immense and the event was a great success. Together with our partners we showed that with the right setup there is a way to ensure instead of to insure only”, says Bert Depiere, Director Digital Innovations at GROHE.
