Successful cooperation of two giants
German manufacturer GROHE and football-club “Shakhter” from Donetsk (Ukraine) have had a relationship for many years. The football club demanded building and technical equipment from companies with a long-standing name and history right from the very early planning stage of the stadium Donbass Arena for FC “Shakhter”. One of them being the world’s leading manufacturer of sanitary fittings GROHE.
The public WC’s in the stadium in Donetsk are equipped with automatic faucets Contropress and electronic ones Europlus E providing contact-free hand washing. The shower area for the football players is equipped with the convenient and practical Rainshower and Relexa.
However, equipping the stadium was not the end of a successful cooperation between FC “Shakhter” and GROHE. In 2010 and thanks to a joint promotion there was a Rainshower Icon prize draw among fans during every domestic game of Premier League. Now each supporter has a great chance to make its bathroom more modern and unique with the GROHE Rainshower Water Colors Collection.
The Donbass Arena is also the venue for some of the forthcoming EURO 2012 matches. An amazing six out of the eight stadiums in the EURO’s competition are equipped with GROHE water saving products.
